The division of Rousseau comprises the following municipalities: Chertsey (M), Rawdon (M), Saint-Alexis (P), Saint-Alexis (VL), Saint-Calixte (M), Saint-Esprit (M), Saint-Hippolyte (M), Sainte-Julienne (M), Saint-Lin-Laurentides (V), Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan (M), Saint-Roch-Ouest (M) and Sainte-Sophie (M).

History of the electoral division

1980 The electoral division of ROUSSEAU is created. It is made up of:
  • a part of the previous electoral division of Joliette-Montcalm
    (11 108 electors);
  • a part of the previous electoral division of L'Assomption
    (7 074 electors);
  • a part of the previous electoral division of Prévost
    (18 091 electors).
1985 The new electoral division of ROUSSEAU is made up of:
  • a part of the previous electoral division of Prévost
    (14 electors);
  • a part of the previous electoral division of Rousseau
    (38 516 electors).
1988 The new electoral division of ROUSSEAU is made up of:

a part of the previous electoral division of Rousseau
(38 161 electors).
1992 The new electoral division of ROUSSEAU is made up of:
  • a part of the previous electoral division of Joliette
    (872 electors);
  • a part of the previous electoral division of L'Assomption
    (1 921 electors);
  • a part of the previous electoral division of Masson
    (3 800 electors);
  • a part of the previous electoral division of Rousseau
    (27 050 electors).
2001 The new electoral division of ROUSSEAU is made up of:

a part of the previous electoral division of Rousseau
(44 051 electors).
2011 The new electoral division of ROUSSEAU comprises
  • Part of the former electoral division of Rousseau (43,637 electors); and 
  • Part of the former electoral division of Bertrand (9,438 electors).
