Who can vote?

To vote, you must be entered on the list of electors and satisfy the following conditions on polling day:

  • be eighteen years of age;
  • be a Canadian citizen;
  • have been domiciled in Québec for at least six months.

Nonetheless, those who are subject to the protection of a curatorship and persons who are deprived of your election rights owing to certain offences committed pursuant to the Elections Act lose their status as a qualified elector.

People who are temporarily outside Québec may also exercise their right to vote in accordance with certain conditions.
