Authorization gives the right to solicit or receive contributions, to incur electoral expenses and to contract loans for electoral purposes, in accordance with the provisions of this Act.

In accordance with section 64 of the Election Act, the Chief Electoral Officer announces that he has given authorization to the entity of the Parti unité nationale in the electoral division of Maskinongé, effective May 10, 2013. Mr. Raymond Dorion is the official representative of this entity.

In accordance with section 64 of the Election Act, the Chief Electoral Officer announces that he has given authorization to the entity of the Parti unité nationale in the electoral division of Saint-François, effective May 10, 2013. Mr. Lionel Lambert is the official representative of this entity.

[1] Entities are party organizations at the level of the electoral division, a region or Québec as a whole.
[2] “Independent candidate” refers to any person who, when requesting authorization, undertakes to run as an independent candidate.
[3] A merger occurs when at least two parties decide to form a new joint party. Upon the merger, the original parties and their authorities cease to exist and are replaced by the party and the authorities ensuing from the merger.
