Advantages of a permanent list of electors

The establishment of a permanent list of electors has numerous advantages.

Among the most significant are:

  • a reduction in the cost of preparing lists of electors;
  • its use by the three levels of government: provincial, municipal and school board;
  • a reduction in the provincial election period to 33 days;
  • a better control of the preparation and updating of lists of electors;
  • an improvement in the quality of the lists of electors.

Evaluation of the quality of the list of electors
