Citizen round table

"This place of sharing and discussion will allow me not only to contribute to the future of our democratic institutions, but also to learn and refine my understanding of them thanks to exchanges of views with the other committee members."

Why did you choose to be a member of the Citizen round table?

“I didn’t choose, they chose me! But I was very happy to be chosen. Why did I apply? Because I was very interested in our democratic system and I consider it important. I also wanted to contribute to an initiative constituting another stepping stone in the great adventure that is Québec’s democracy.”

Did your perception of certain issues evolve throughout the meetings of the Citizen round table? And if so, in what way?

“Yes, my perception changed. We have our way of seeing things, each of us arrives with our own baggage and we are given a lot of documents to support our discussions. One of the selection criteria was to be open-minded: and the group was, very much so. We evolve, we learn, we understand things and it makes it even more interesting to be part of the Citizen round table.”
