Meetings of the committee

The Accessibility Committee will meet twice a year, as needed.

Meetings will usually be held in Montréal or in our offices, in Québec City. To facilitate participation, the meeting location is determined based on the members’ place of residence.

The activities of the working group will be conducted in French. The documents needed for the group’s work will also be in French only.

Closed doors

Committee meetings are not open to the public. Only Committee members, members of our personnel and any experts invited by the latter may attend. On the other hand, the minutes of the meetings will be made public. Everything said during the meetings, however, shall remain anonymous. Hence, the minutes of the meetings are written in such a way as to ensure the anonymity of the members (who said what).

Allowance and reimbursement of travel expenses

The members receive an allowance equal to $250 per day (taxable) for their participation in the meetings. The allowance covers preparation time prior to meetings, travel time to Québec City or the location planned for the meeting, as well as all costs incurred, excluding travel expenses.

Travel and meal expenses to participate in meetings, as well as the cost of accommodations, when required, are reimbursed according to an Élections Québec directive and based on the Directive sur les frais remboursables lors d’un déplacement et autres frais inhérents (Directive on reimbursable travel expenses and other related costs, in French only) issued by the Secrétariat du Conseil du trésor of the Gouvernement du Québec.
