Public Notice - Withdrawal of authorization

The Chief Electoral Officer of Québec intends to withdraw the authorization granted to the provincial political party Affiliation Québec, in accordance with section 68 of the Election Act (R.S.Q., c. E-3.3), for the following reasons: 

  • Failure to provide the information required to update the register, as enacted in section 65 of the Election Act; 
  • Failure to produce the financial report in the form prescribed by a directive of the Chief Electoral Officer of Québec, along with the supporting documents required by law, for the year ending December 31, 2009, contrary to the provisions of section 113 of the Election Act; and 
  • Failure to produce the financial report in the form prescribed by a directive of the Chief Electoral Officer of Québec, along with the supporting documents required by law, for the year ending December 31, 2010, contrary to the provisions of section 113 of the Election Act. 

If you would like to make comments, submit arguments or produce documents in connection with the decision that the Chief Electoral Officer of Québec intends to make, please send them in writing for my attention, by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2012, to the following address:

If you fail to submit comments, arguments or documents in writing, within the stipulated time, the authorization previously granted to the provincial political party Affiliation Québec will be withdrawn forthwith.
