PUBLIC NOTICE – WITHDRAWAL OF AUTHORIZATION

The Chief Electoral Officer of Québec proposes to withdraw the authorization of the municipal political party Alternative Sainte-Catherine, in accordance with section 404 of the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities (R.S.Q., c. E-2.2), for the following reasons:

  • Failure to provide the Chief Electoral Officer of Québec with the information required to update the register mentioned in section 424 of the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities; and
  • Failure to appoint an official representative and official agent, in contravention of subsections 3 to 5 of Division II of Chapter XIII of Title I of the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities.

If you wish to make comments or present arguments in respect of the decision that the Chief Electoral Officer of Québec intends to make, please submit them in writing, for the attention of the Chief Electoral Officer, no later than 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 15th, at the following address:

If you fail to submit your written comments or arguments within the stipulated time, the authorization of the municipal political party Alternative Sainte-Catherine will be withdrawn forthwith.
