Public Notice – Intention of Withdrawal of Authorization

The Chief Electoral Officer of Québec proposes to withdraw the authorization of the Ethnic Party of Montréal / Parti ethnique de Montréal in accordance with section 404 of the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities (Chapter E-2.2), on the following grounds:

  • Failure at all times to have at least 100 members who are qualified electors and hold a valid membership card, which failure constitutes a contravention of section 399.2 of the Act.

If you have comments to make or arguments to put forward against the withdrawn of the party’s authorization, please submit them in writing no later than 4:30 p.m. on August 3, 2015, at the following address:

If you fail to submit your written comments or arguments within the stipulated time, subject to the comments or arguments that the party concerned may make or present, the authorization of the municipal political party Ethnic Party of Montréal / Parti ethnique de Montréal will be withdrawn forthwith.
