Public Notice – Intention of Withdrawal of Authorization

The Chief Electoral Officer of Québec proposes to withdraw the authorization of the “Union Montréal” party in accordance with section 404 of the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities (Chapter E-2.2), on the following grounds:

  • Failure to have at all times at least 100 members who are qualified electors and hold a valid membership card, which constitutes a contravention of section 399.2 of the Act.

If you have comments to make or arguments to put forward against the withdrawal of the party’s authorization, please submit them in writing no later than 4:30 p.m. on July 25, 2016, at the following address:

If you fail to submit your written comments or arguments within the stipulated time, subject to the comments or arguments that the party concerned may make or present, the authorization of the municipal political party “Union Montréal” will be withdrawn.
