Summary

More than 260 municipalities divide their territories into electoral districts. Municipalities with a population of 20,000 or over are required to do so, while those with a population of under 20,000 can do so voluntarily.

The municipalities on this list have divided their territory into electoral districts for the 2021 municipal general elections, under Chapter III of the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities. The population data listed is from the population writ instituting an election published in the Gazette officielle du Québec on December 26, 2019.
