Postponement of English-Language School Board Elections

21 October 2020

Categories: General election, School board

Under the provisions of Order in Council 1039-2020, issued by the government on October 7, any school board elections scheduled to be held in red zones on November 1 have been postponed indefinitely.

As a result, no school board elections will be held on November 1, since the nine seats of commissioner or chair up for election are on English-language school boards located in red zones.

The Charter of the French language and its regulations govern the consultation of English-language content.
