Vox populi : Ta démocratie à l’école! – Registration period is in full swing!

4 September 2019

Categories: Democracy education, Institutional

Back to school is the ideal time to introduce students to the principles of democracy! The program Vox populi : Ta démocratie à l’école! (in French), in collaboration with the National Assembly and the Fondation Jean-Charles Bonenfant, gives teachers and school staff free support in implementing and running student councils.

Getting involved in a student council is a rewarding experience, regardless of one’s future aspirations. Council members have an opportunity to discover the meaning of commitment and to realize what they can contribute to the development of their community.

Since the program was created in 2015, over 14,000 young people have taken part of it in some 500 schools across Québec. These schools have received complimentary and personalized assistance, in addition to training activities and election materials.

Would you like to take part in this program as well? Or do you know someone else who might be interested? If so, please consult the website “Vox populi: Ta démocratie à l’école”! for more information or to sign up!
