A party authority is a party association at the level of an electoral division, of a region or of the provincial level. To facilitate database searches, party authorities have been divided administratively into three groups, local party authorities, regional party authorities and provincial party authorities.
A local party authority is authorized to carry out its activities within the territory of an electoral division as delimited by the Commission de la représentation électorale du Québec, while a regional party authority is authorized to carry out its activities within a territory that covers a region of Québec, as delimited by the party at its own discretion. A provincial authority is authorized to carry out its activities throughout the territory of Québec.
