A provincial election period has been underway since August 29. During this period, special rules apply to political financing and the control of election expenses.

For example, did you know that neither citizens nor businesses can spend money to promote or oppose the election of a candidate during the election period? In addition, all election expenses must be paid by the official agent of a candidate or political party.
