School is a great place to give young people a positive engagement experience. They can learn to express their ideas and develop an interest in getting involved in their community. Draw on their creativity and fresh perspectives to improve school life through participatory budgeting!

Are you a school administrator or a member of the teaching staff? The discussion guide, titled Des idées, des projets; mon école, mon vote (in French) will lead you through the process.

Participatory budgeting is a unique opportunity for students and other members of the school community to enhance the quality of school life while finding positive solutions to shared concerns. The four-stage process will allow the young people at your school to transform an idea into reality. It will give them a chance to experience democracy and have their voices heard at school in a new way.
