Québec, October 12, 2005 –– Taking advantage of this occasion, Mr. Marcel Blanchet, Chief Electoral Officer of Québec, wishes to announce that new political parties have been authorized at the municipal level:

Mr. Blanchet agreed to the request of the leaders of these political parties in accordance with the provisions of the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities.
These new authorizations bring to 163 the number of municipal political parties that hold an authorization under the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities.
