Québec, May 5, 2009 – Marcel Blanchet, Chief Electoral Officer of Québec, has made public the financial reports of three of the four political parties represented in the National Assembly for 2008, namely: the Action démocratique du Québec/Équipe Mario Dumont (name used in 2008), the Québec Liberal Party and the Parti québécois. It should be noted that these reports do not include the revenue of these parties’ respective authorities (electoral divisions and regional associations).

The financial reports are available on the Chief Electoral Officer’s web-site at the following address: www.electionsquebec.qc.ca. Simply click on “Financing rules”, in the left side of the home page and afterward, click on “Provincial Financial Reports”.

The list of individuals having made contributions of over $200 to these parties is available upon request from the Service aux médias of the Chief Electoral Officer (1 888 870 3320).

By the end of May, an analysis of the financial reports of all of the provincial parties will be made public in the form of a statistical document.
