April 9, 2001 by-election in the electoral division of Mercier

By virtue of an order issued yesterday by the Government of Québec, Mr. Marcel Blanchet, Chief Electoral Officer of Québec, must hold a by-election on Monday, April 9, 2001 in the electoral division of Mercier.

Mr. Jacques Girard, Chief Electoral Officer of Québec, would like to announce that there will be 177 polling stations grouped in 22 polling places during the election that will be held on December 14 in the electoral division of Masson. These polling stations will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to allow electors to exercise their right to vote. All polling places will be accessible to handicapped persons.
