Description of the electoral division

(Explanatory note)

The division of Mirabel comprises the following municipalities: Mirabel (V), Oka (M), Pointe-Calumet (M), Saint-Joseph-du-Lac (M), Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac (V) and Saint-Placide (M).

It also comprises the Indian settlement of Kanesatake.

The river corridor includes: the St. Lawrence River, the gulf of St. Lawrence, the Baie des Chaleurs/Chaleur Bay, the Rivière des Prairies, the Rivière des Mille Îles, the Rivière des Outaouais, Lac Témiscamingue, the Rivière Saguenay and Lac Saint-Jean.

History of the electoral division

(Explanatory notes)

2001 The electoral division of MIRABEL is created. It is made up of:
  • a part of the previous electoral division of Argenteuil
    (18 202 electors);
  • a part of the previous electoral division of Deux-Montagnes
    (17 373 electors).
2011 The new electoral division of MIRABEL is identical to its predecessor.
