Work of the Commission de la représentation électorale

On February 23, 2017, after almost three years of work and analyses, the Commission de la représentation électorale (CRE) established a new electoral map for Québec. The delimitation and the names of Québec’s 125 electoral divisions were published in the Gazette officielle du Québec on March 2, 2017. The changes made to the electoral map are intended to create electoral divisions that ensure fair and equitable representation for all electors, based on the new demographic realities in each region of Québec.

To find out more about the process and to see the final report, entitled The electoral map. A reflection of Québec – The 2017 Québec electoral map – Final report – June 2017, go to the CRE website: The electoral map – A reflection of Québec.
