Reduction to $1000 of the annual maximum limit for a political contribution

Since January 1, 2011, the total contributions that an elector may make during a given year are limited to $1,000 to each political party including their authorities and to each authorized independent candidate and authorized independent Member.

For every contribution made, the elector must receive a receipt and his contribution may result in a credit. Effective January 1, 2011, the maximum tax credit can reach $310 (85% of the first instalment of $100 and 75% of the second instalment of $300).
